The mobility impaired are not currently accessing ongoing physical ABILITY services to train the body either in conjunction with or subsequent to rehab and/or OT. As the long term function of the mobility impaired body deteriorates, so does mental health, self esteem and any sense of wellness or overall capability. The mobility impaired are leading less rewarding and fulfilling lives as a direct result of this shortfall. Additionally, isolation is a major factor impacting the overall quality of life of the mobility impaired. A stronger sense of community is needed.
